What’s the best life insurance? Well, to me it seems that the old school bond, developed over a period of time that last for a long term life is just irreplaceable. An age-old relationship based on mutual trust and love that emphasised on bond and bond for a whole life is absolutely amazing. After all, the area of relationship dynamics, love, affection, etc. comes under the broad umbrella of arts, and science may not be able to explain everything.

I’ll share a story that I just happened to witness in Singapore.

I was out for a dinner!

It was a fine evening in Singapore. The year 2016 was coming to an end within a few days. It was indeed a time to relax and chill out. In fact, I was about to fly on New Year to the exotic Maldives.

I just had my dinner at a food stall (near Gek Poh Ville Community Club), and grabbed a bubble milk-tea pack from the nearby Gong Cha stall. I was reading a long blog-post on my phone and the reading continued for a couple of hours. Nevertheless, the time went fast as the blog was quite interesting. The food stalls were closing their business for the day as it was nearly 10.00 PM. I started walking to in order to get back to my place.

The Red traffic Signal

I stopped at a red traffic signal for a while. Soon, the signal turned green and I started walking again. As I was crossing the road I sensed someone walking closely behind me. I stopped in the middle of the road and turned back to take a look on the situation.

The Old School Bond

I saw an old couple walking very slowly to cross the road. Their bodies were nearly shaking due to old factors (I suppose). They were holding hands together and tried to support each other to cross the road. I was touched to see their affection and humbly asked them “can I help you to cross the road?” They smiled and said no very politely. I asked them again – only to hear a “no” again.

The old school bond that focuses on mutual understanding and togetherness is the need of the hour. The high yield bonds cannot ignore social values for a long term life goals.

I just crossed the road and waited for the elderly couple to come on the other side of the road.

They reached the other side, thanked me with a smile, and started walking towards a nearby tall building. I was still standing at the side of the road looking at the couple as they walked away slowly. Finally, they entered the building and were not visible anymore.

A long term life bond and bond relationship

I started walking to my place.  There was peace all around except in my mind. I was just comparing the behaviour of the current generation couples where love and affection is often based on materialistic reward. As human behaviour has evolved over time, somewhere affection seems to be getting lost. The increasing divorce rates across the globe are a testimony to the fact.

In Asia, the old school bond system is still very much prevalent. However, somehow our new education system is putting less emphasis on bond and bong relationship.

The Best Life Insurance

Although I didn’t know anything about the elderly couple, their affection did convey a lot to me. How about we call them a Golden Couple? Doesn’t their togetherness represent the best life insurance?

So if you are planning to buy best life insurance, probably look for a long term bond. 🙂 I leave it to you to brainstorm over. 🙂
